Hi Thanks for the information. I had a defibrillator implanted in 1996. My first shock was a rude awakening. I had been told it would feel like "being kicked by a horse". I was fairly young at the time, and a "city folk". I guess struck by lightning would have been a better way to prepare me. It turned out that my heart was in normal sinus rhythm, except that I was exercising and my heart rate exceeded the cutoff threshold. The doc explained that the shock was "inappropriate" as it was not needed. I learned that certain medicines prevent the heart from beating that fast, and are one way to avoid an "inappropriate" shock. Not sure if this helps your site, but I thought I would offer my experience.

Hi,
I've been researching LQTS for a little while now, and this site gave great explanations on some of the information I've come across that previsously didn't make any sense- Thanks!

Thanks Sue, have you used any of this material in your teaching? If so, how has it worked? Any suggestions for improvement?
